How to prepare for your Spray Tan

Ahhhh a sunkissed glow. Something I never understood before April 2021 when I got my first spray tan. Being as fair as I am, I avoid the sun like the plague, and frankly, I was always afraid of turning the dreaded orange after a spray tan. However, I found a company who helped guide us through the process, and how each undertone has a different spray tan solution which works best for them. ...and y'all. I was hooked. Hooked on that {faux} sunkissed glow.

There is, however, just a little prep and post care that can help your tan apply more evenly, and extend the life of your tan as well.

Pre-Tan 1) Do any shaving, waxing, mani/pedi etc at least 24 hours prior to your tan

2) Exfoliate your skin with an oil free exfoliant ~24 hours prior to your appointment 3) the day of your appointment, avoid applying lotions, perfumes, deodorant...anything that could create a barrier between your spray tan and your skin

Going to Your Appointment 1) wear dark, loose clothing - a loose tank dress is a great option if you can!

2) you'll get undressed to YOUR comfort. If you want to go naked, by all means! If you want to wear the provided disposable undergarments, that's great too! If you want to wear an old bikini or pair of undies from home, awesome!

3) don't get wet or too sweaty during the developing time of your tan. Your artist will tell you what that time is.

To Prolong your Tan

1) use the recommended aftercare products - they're formulated to help you keep your faux glow as long as possible

2) don't shave or scrub your skin until you're ready to start losing some tan

3) hydrate, hydrate, hydrate - again, with the recommended products if possible, but definitely use lotion daily!

Ready for your Faux Glow? We can't wait to see you!
