Clients are genuinely surprised by how comfortable it is. It feels warm and a little snappy, but unlike a lot of lasers, it typically doesn't require numbing cream or cooling.
Little to none. You might look slightly pink for a few hours, but our clients head right back to their day, errands, dinner, whatever's on the schedule. When we were testing the laser, we were honestly so surprised at how great our skin' looked immediately after treatment, and how it just continued to look better and better all day!
That depends on your goals and what we are treating. Most concerns do best with a series of 4 to 6 treatments spaced a few weeks apart, though most clients notice a difference after just one session.
Yes! This is one of the things we love about it. Aerolase is considered safe for all skin types and tones, including deeper skin tones, which is not the case for most other lasers.
In many cases, yes. Because it's more gentle than a lot of traditional lasers, it can be used year-round. However, you will need to avoid the sun for a short period after treatment, and we'll always talk through sun protection and whether your skin is a good candidate at the time of your appointment.
Yes! It pairs really well with facials, injectables, skincare, and other treatments to support overall results
Aerolase delivers energy in 650 microseconds (that’s 0.00065 seconds), which is faster than the skin’s ability to build up and fully process heat/pain signals. Instead of slowly heating the skin like many traditional lasers, it sends ultra-fast pulses that target the concern before surrounding tissue gets overheated and painful.
That hesitation is real. A lot of people hear the word "laser" and picture something intense, red, and uncomfortable, or they've hear horror stories from friends. Aerolase is genuinely a different breed. It uses a very specific wavelength and pulse duration that allows it to treat your skin effectively while staying comfortable and safe, even for sensitive skin types. If you're still not sure, we would love to see you for a consult so you can feel it yourself!
Most of the time, yes! Aerolase is actually one of the more well-tolerated laser options out there. That said, every skin is different, and we'd always want to do a thorough consultation before your first session to make sure it's a good fit for you specifically.
A facial works on the surface of the skin, addressing things like congestion, hydration, texture, and overall skin health from the outside in. Aerolase works at a deeper level, targeting concerns like pigmentation, redness, acne, and collagen production within the deeper layers of the skin. They're not an either/or, though. A lot of our clients do both, and they complement each other really well.
Nothing complicated! In general, you'll want to come in with clean skin, avoid any strong actives like retinol or exfoliating acids for a few days beforehand, and let us know about any recent sun exposure or changes in your skin. We'll go over everything specific to your skin at your appointment.
For the first 24 to 48 hours, you'll want to keep things gentle. Skip intense heat (saunas, hot yoga, super hot showers), stay out of direct sun, and hold off on strong actives like retinol or acids. Mineral sunscreen is your best friend after any laser treatment - we have a favorite here at the SPA if you don't have one you love! We'll send you home with clear aftercare instructions so you don't have any questions about how to care for your skin.
This fully depends on what we are treating. Some clients notice a glow or a subtle improvement pretty quickly. For deeper concerns like pigmentation, acne, or collagen remodeling, the more significant results tend to build over a series of treatments. Skin changes take time, and that's actually a good thing. It means what you're seeing is real, lasting improvement. Things like hair removal tend to take a couple of sessions to see major improvement, but again, everyone is different!
Aerolase can create really meaningful, lasting improvement, but skin is a living organ and it continues to age and respond to the world around it. Things like sun exposure, hormones, and lifestyle all play a role over time. Most clients find that a maintenance treatment here and there helps them hold onto their results. We'll always be honest with you about what's realistic for your specific concerns.
The best way to find out is to come in for a consultation! We'll take a look at your skin, talk through your goals, and let you know whether Aerolase is a good fit, and if so, what a realistic treatment plan might look like. There's never any pressure, its just a conversation with some education thrown in!
It depends on the size of the area being treated. Most sessions are somewhere between 20 and 45 minutes, but some treatments are as little as 10 minutes!
You'll come in, we'll cleanse your skin and do a quick check-in about how things have been since your last visit (or a full consultation if it's your first time). Then we'll go over the treatment area with the handpiece, which most clients describe as warm and (occasionally) snappy but very manageable. Afterward we'll apply soothing products and sunscreen, go over any aftercare reminders, and you're on your way.
