Jeuveau: Everything you need to know about Newtox!

How many times have I mentioned the service Jeuveau, or Newtox, and you asked yourself…what’s that? And then maybe you googled it and found out it's a form of neuromodulator, a.k.a. Botox (but we can’t use that word because it's trademarked…so its neuromodulator.  And maybe after that you wondered, well whats the difference and how much do I need? How long does it last? That’s what this post is for!

How Long Does Jeuveau Take to Work, or “kick in”?

Most people start noticing an effect within 2-3 days. But full results are at about 14 days. IN my experience, I’ll start to feel it on day 2, then it will feel like nothing and then boom, its set. And thats the magic day! :) This is why when we ask new clients to come in for a follow up visit, it isn’t until after 14 days because we want to see full results, not partial. 

How Long Do Jeuveau Results Last?

Results last 3-4 months, with a few rare unicorns getting 5 months. (I’m not one of them, in case you’re wondering!)  Our metabolism, how strong the muscled were to begin with, and how often you’ve been treating the area all play a role in how long it lasts. The way I explain it to people is plan on every 3 months for the first year. Then we can stretch it to 4 and see how you feel about it. 

Jeuveau Before and After: What Actually Changes

The best way I can describe this is, it looks like you but softer and fresher. You’re not frozen, but the lines are minimized or gone. 

What Happens When Jeuveau Wears Off?

Lines we treat will gradually become more visible again, but its not like you wake up one day and go “oh no the Jeuveau is gone!” It fades slowly. Nothing comes back worse than before, if anything, after a couple of treatments, the lines are less visible than before, even when it wears off. 

When Should You Book Your Next Jeuveau Treatment?

I like to have my clients back at 90ish days for their first 3-4 sessions. Then we can start trying to stretch to 4 months. It’s infinitely easier to prebook the 90 days and push the appointment out if needed, than to try to squeeze one in at the last minute when you have an event in 2 days!
